Dr. Tawfik Ramtoolah

Dr. Tawfik Ramtoolah has 40 years of experience in providing technical assistance and supporting capacity building for the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank (WB) in Washington DC and Africa, and several governments in more than twenty countries, including the US. Active in multiple areas of public financial management (PFM), Dr. Ramtoolah is an expert on budget issues across all of its functional areas: preparation, execution, and monitoring. In addition to his PFM work, he also has many years of experience in central banking, macroeconomic management, policy design and implementation, governance, and macroeconomic statistics. Prior to joining Pragma, he worked for the Gulf Monetary Council (GMC) based in Riyadh where he was involved in monetary policy design, liquidity management, legal framework, and payment systems among the central banks of GMC member countries. Dr. Ramtoolah has a PhD from McGill University and speaks French and English.
