USAID Economic Growth and Enabling Environment (EEE)

Northeast Syria | 2024-2025

Overview

Northeast Syria has faced significant economic challenges due to years of conflict and instability. To support the region’s continuing economic recovery, the USAID-funded Economic Management for Stabilization, implemented by Pragma, promoted economic stability through sound economic governance and private sector development strategies that have helped stabilize macro-structural conditions and initiated the economic recovery process.

The USAID Economic Growth and Enabling Environment activity (USAID/EEE) built on that successful work. USAID/EEE provided critical support to public and private stakeholders to improve economic governance and develop the business enabling environment, further stabilize and enhance the financial market and fiscal policy and regulatory regime, and attract private investment. The program promoted robust economic recovery and growth and a more prosperous future for the people of Northeast Syria.
