Claudine Karaki Saliba

Ms. Claudine Karaki is a senior international expert in fiscal reforms and revenue administration who currently serves as Senior Tax Advisor to Lebanon’s Minister of Finance. A founding member of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) project for the Lebanese Ministry of Finance (MOF), Ms. Karaki devoted over two decades of service towards the MOF’s reforms taking on the mantle of leadership and management regarding modernization of tax and cadaster administrations. In addition, she has spearheaded several European Union (EU) twinning projects in collaboration with various European tax administrations. She has worked in several countries with various international organizations, including the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank (WB), United Nations (UN), EU and Agence Française de Développement (AFD) conducting public fiscal reform programs, and providing technical advice to modernize fiscal regimes and administration schemes, with a particular focus on project management, business process reengineering, designing, and implementing integrated tax information systems.
