Janis Platais

A Personal Finance Management (PFM) and government finance statistics expert, Mr. Janis Platis has over 25 years of international experience in government budget preparation, execution, intergovernmental finance, budget classification, and chart of accounts, compatible with government finance statistics methodology (GFSM2014). Mr. Platis has worked as a consultant for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB). Previously, he was the advisor to the Latvian Ministry of Finance, helped develop the functions for budget preparation and execution, and set up and improved treasury functions based on the Treasury Single Account (TSA).
