Muneer Al-Assi

Mr. Muneer Mohammed Al-Assi has over 35 years of experience specializing in innovation and change management for struggling industrial companies. As Team Leader and Regional Private Sector (RPS) Specialist under the USAID-funded Middle East Economic Growth Project’s Economic Management for Stability In Northeast Syria Program (MEG/EMS/NES), Mr. Al-Assi is deploying an overall market system approach aimed at developing large-scale, sustainable value chains to spur and diversify economic growth in NES. Targeting manufacturing, agribusiness, information communications technology, healthcare, and light industries. Mr. Al-Assi has been a member of the Higher Jordanian National Committee for Competitiveness and Innovation, the Jordan Enterprise Development Cooperation, and the Euro-Jordanian Advanced Businesses Institute. He was also a member of the Amman Chamber of Industry Board, where he headed the Innovation Committee for Jordanian Industry, as well as the Strategy Committee for the ACI. In addition, Mr. Al-Assi founded and served as the first Chair of Jordan’s Small-Medium Enterprise (SME) Association, helped to establish the Ministry of Planning’s Provincial Development Fund, and was a member of the Committee for Financing Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Jordan.
