Local Load Shedding Outreach Advisor

Mr. Sami Khaled is an expert in operational studies for the Libyan National Grid and consultant for General Electric Company of Libya (GECOL) who assists in the design, development and implementation of a fair load shedding scheme, as well as designing a public application for load shedding awareness and rationalization campaign. Prior to joining Pragma, Mr. Khaled worked at GECOL in various positions, first as an engineer in its Renewable Energy Planning Department, then as a Tripoli Regional Control Center (TRCC) Operational Planning manager, then as a manager the Control Center’s Operational Studies Department, as well as Chairman of the Defense Plan Committee. Mr. Khaled holds a BS in Electric Power System Engineering from the University of Alfath in Tripoli-Libya, and a MSc in Electric Power System Engineering from Libyan Academy.Quote: “Working with the national grid at GECOL was very close to my current job where I’ve had the opportunity to increase my skills and revise my knowledge as well as increase my experience in areas related to electricity.”
